Installation?

The pic for R10000UNBXT looks like RP47202 is integral to it.

The generic installation says I may need a RP47202 for thin wall installation.
What is your definition of "thin wall"?

How is R10000UNBXT installed that RP47202 is needed or and advantage?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. One example of a thin wall would be Fiberglass. Installation instructions are included with Delta part #RP47202. The valve body assembly with thin wall support are installed against back of the mounting surface. The thin wall plate is mounted against the wall with self tapping screws. This installation acts as a support.

Why insuffiicient cold water?

Valve/shower assembly installed by licensed plumber.

Plenty of cold/hot water before valve assembly; if turn front rotational dial all the way to the left = 100% hot water w/plenty of pressure; when turn all the way to the right the flow reduces to a trickle of cold water. Appears partially blocked.

I've read the installation instructions, but without removing the entire valve assembly is there corrective action a bit simplier?

What current model shower valves are compatible with 1500 series valve body?

I have 1500 series shower/bath combo's and would like to replace with a new Delta product. I prefer not to replace the valve body if possible and would like to know which new products are compatible.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The 1500 series was discontinued in 1998. The cartridge for the 1700 series comes with an adapter to fit a 1500 series. If the screw holes on the escutcheon are diagonal from each other, there is a conversion kit available to convert the unit to a 1700 series (Delta part #RP29405). In addition to this conversion kit, a trim series T17*** can be installed. This will allow for the valve body to remain behind the wall.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The temperature can be adjusted via the rotational limit stop. This part ships with the trim vs. the rough-in (Delta Model #R10000). Attached is an instruction sheet (page 7 of 94).

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta model #R10000-UNWS is our Multichoice Universal rough. This will work with an array of tub/shower trims that have a single, dual, or dual thermostatic cartridge. Throughout our website, we recommend searching for tub/shower units that begin with T13*** or T14*** for the single; T17*** for the dual, or T17T*** for the thermostatic trim options. The cartridge will ship with the trim package selected.
